Energy Harvesting and Storage Module for Wireless Sensor Networks

Features
· Can be used to harness energy from various energy sources including solar cells and micro-wind turbines
· Ultracapacitor option for high energy storage efficiency (over 95%) and long lifetime
· Five regular input with diodes
· One dedicated input/output terminal without a diode for the connection of an external rechargeable battery that can be charged via the module.
· Optional on-board or externally connected ultracapacitors (Electrochemical Double Layer Capacitor – EDLC). Compared to batteries, these ultracapacitors offer extremely long lifetime, high efficiency in energy storage (over 95%), extremely low internal resistance, extremely low heating levels, high output power, and improved safety. It can act as a charge conditioner, storing energy from other energy sources and also serving load balancing purposes
